Lowforge Gundogs

Both Charlie and Sonny exhibit many of the characteristics that we consider to be important in a working Labrador. They are well built, athletic dogs, that work tirelessly, with the drive and hunting ability that is so vital in a working gundog. Yet, both are extremely biddable, were a pleasure to train, and now, are a pleasure to work.

Charlie whelped successfully on 12 April, producing five bitches and two dogs. 

All pups from this litter are sold 

    We are planning a first litter for Missy, Contrail Florence of Lowforge. The sire will be Spike, Contrail Quick Fire of Lowforge.

Both work throughout the season, out beating, picking up, and shot over as well. They are typical hard working, adaptable Cockers.

Missy whelped today 9th April, she had 1 Liver dog, 3 black bitches, 1 blue roan bitch.

 Indy whelped 13th March, four dog pups, and four bitch pups.

The sire is a dog that we bred, Bob, Lowforge Aragon of Leacaz.

 This litter, we hope,  will be a significant one for Lowforge Gundogs, as we are bringing together our two strongest bitch lines, putting a son of Ash on Indy. Both are hard hunting bitches, that work day in, and day out throughout the shooting season, and have produced offspring that are competing successfully both in the UK, and in Europe.

Lee Hartis has done extremely well with Bob, qualifying for the IGL Retriever Championships 2010, we hope Lee will continue to progress with him in 2011, and that we will see Bob being made up to FTCH in due course.

  Sonny, Druimmuir Dodge of Lowforge, covered a yellow bitch,in late December.     

Lavender Bergamot has a current clear BVA EyeCertificate, Hip Score  4:4.

For Indys second litter, we have used a dog that we know very well.  Craighorn Tully, Jay, is an extremely well bred dog, sired by FTCH Willowyck Ruff, from an exceptionally well bred dam. Jay is owned by friends of ours, and we have trained, and worked our dogs together on countless occasions. Indy and Jay are both very fast, stylish, hard hunting dogs, we sincerely hope that these abilities, and their superb temperaments, will combine in any resulting litter.
